light weight and will not rust or corrode.
This hand pump set is capable of pumping water from depths of up to 50
Feet.

- The closed design helps prevent contaminants from entering the well
- Water can be pumped to another location by attaching a 1 1/4” hose
to the discharge spout (can also be adapted to other sizes)
- Can be made freeze proof by drilling a 1/16” hole in the drop pipe
below the frost line - after you stop pumping the water above the hole
drains back down the well
- Has a sealed top chamber (which repels rain) and is recommended for
drinking water

PUMP STAND SPECIFICATIONS: (The component that sits above the
well).

Discharge Port: 1 1/4” female pipe thread with vermin screen, and
elbow with 1 1/4" female pipe thread

Pump Rod Stroke: 3 1/2” (9 cm)

(1) PUMP STAND
- The base is attached to a platform
above the well casing (using 1/4” fasteners (4 required)
- Has 2” female pipe thread to attach the
drop pipe
- Has stainless steel upper rod with adapter
to attach pump rod
(2) DROP PIPE (2” rigid PVC plastic) - NOT INCLUDED
- Connects the pump stand to the well cylinder and carries the
water to the surface
- Comes in 10 foot lengths, and can be glued (solvent welded) or
screwed together using couplers
- purchase locally
(3) PUMP ROD (1/2” rigid PVC plastic) - NOT INCLUDED
- Located inside the drop pipe and connects the pump handle to
the plunger assembly in the cylinder
- this hollow pump rod actually floats and therefore reduces the
pumping effort
- Comes in 10 foot lengths, and can be glued (solvent welded) or
screwed together using couplers
- purchase locally
(4) WELL CYLINDER (1 7/8” I.D. made of rigid
PVC plastic)
- Has a brass plunger with 3 cup leathers, and is the actual
pumping component that goes down the well
- the up and down movement of the plunger (activated by the pump
handle and pump rod) brings the water to the surface
- Has adapter to connect to the pump rod.
- Has external foot valve
NOTE: ENOUGH DROP PIPE AND PUMP ROD IS REQUIRED TO LOCATE THE
CYLINDER 15 FEET BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE WATER.
(5) PLATFORM - NOT INCLUDED
- Can be fabricated from wood or steel and must be high enough
to allow access to the well seal bolts
(6) WELL SEAL - NOT INCLUDED
- Used to seal the top of the well casing where the drop pipe
goes in
(7) WELL CASING - NOT INCLUDED
- Installed by a well driller - 4, 5 and 6” are common sizes
The 2” rigid PVC plastic pipe used as the drop pipe, the 1/2” rigid
PVC plastic pipe used as the pump rod and the well seal can be purchased
locally at a plumbing store, or can be ordered from us - please contact
